Refund Policy
If Disk Census doesn’t do what our website says, ask within 14 days and you get your money back.
In short
- Ask within 14 days of buying and you get a full refund if Disk Census doesn’t do what our website says it does. Tell us what isn’t as described.
- In the UK and the EU, the law also gives consumers 14 days to cancel. This policy doesn’t limit that right.
- Email us at support@diskcensus.com, or ask Link, which sent your receipt. We answer within 48 hours.
- Link pays you back, to the card or account you paid with, tax included.
- A full refund ends the license. Disk Census stops on its Macs at their next check-in.
This is a summary for convenience. The full text below is what applies.
1Our 14-day refund
You can have a full refund of a Disk Census purchase by asking within 14 days of buying it, if Disk Census doesn’t do what our website says it does. When you ask, tell us what isn’t as described. It doesn’t matter whether you have downloaded or activated Disk Census. The 14 days start on the date of the purchase shown on your receipt from Link.
If you buy as a consumer in the UK or the EU, the law also gives you 14 days from your purchase to cancel it. This policy doesn’t limit that right. To cancel, ask us or Link in either of the ways below.
2How to ask
Either way works:
- Email us at support@diskcensus.com from the address you bought with, or include the last 4 characters of your key. We answer within 48 hours.
- Ask Link, the merchant of record that sent your receipt, through Link support (opens in a new tab).
3How you’re paid back
Link is the merchant of record, so it makes the refund, to the original payment method, and sends you the refund notice. We can’t refund to a different card or account. A full refund covers the full amount you paid, including any tax Link collected.
Your bank or card issuer decides how quickly it shows up. It can take several business days.
4What a refund does to your license
A full refund ends the license for that purchase. Disk Census stops on its Macs at their next check-in: usually within a week for a Mac that is online, and by its check-in date for one that is offline.
A partial refund doesn’t end the license. If you want Disk Census again later, buy a new license; you get a new key.
5After 14 days
Outside the window, tell us anyway. If Disk Census doesn’t work on your Mac and we can’t fix it, or something went wrong with your purchase, we’ll look at it case by case.
Link can also refund a purchase itself within 60 days of the transaction, in certain cases: for example if you didn’t receive what you bought, it is significantly not as described or doesn’t work, or the payment wasn’t authorised or was taken twice. To ask Link, use Link support (opens in a new tab).
6Chargebacks
Please contact us or Link support (opens in a new tab) before asking your bank for a chargeback. It is almost always faster. As merchant of record, Link handles chargebacks and may contest one. Opening a chargeback ends the license for that purchase, as a full refund does.
7Your legal rights
This policy is in addition to your legal rights, not instead of them. Depending on where you live, you may also have a right to a repair, a replacement or a refund if Disk Census is faulty. We’ll help however we can. See also our License Agreement and the Sold through Link Terms (opens in a new tab).
